The symposium will be held in São Carlos city that is located in the geographic center of São Paulo State. The city has 210,000 inhabitants. Its climate is pleasant for the time of the symposium with the temperatures ranging 15-25 oC.
Due to its excellence in teaching, technology and industrial activities São Carlos has been named the Capital of Technology. In São Carlos there are two university campuses one from the University of São Paulo (USP), and the other from the Federal University where the symposium will be held.
All the activities related to the symposium will be at the Federal University campus. The university is 44 years old and has around 15,000 students in its 4 campuses. For further information, please check: www.ufscar.br
